DIRECTOR OF SALES - ELIZABETHTOWN, NC

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales to help grow top line sales within the company. This position is based at the corporate offices in Elizabethtown, NC, but will require time spent traveling to the various Sales Team leaders throughout the region. This position will be a key member of the Leadership team. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the Company's sales goals
  • Create a "culture of success" and ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Manage the Sales Teams, Operations and Resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Manage the use of Budgets
  • Define optimal sales force structure
  • Hire and develop the sales staff
  • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their targets
  • define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and develop key relationships
  • Promote and support a safety culture throughout the division
  • Drive the sales team to become proactive, flexible, and responsive to our customer's needs
  • Continually strive to effectively control costs and develop projects and action plans to achieve cost savings targets
  • Develop the Annual Sales Budget for the entire Sales Team and for each Sales Team Member
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of consumer products-based sales leadership
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment with multiple internal decision makers and partners
  • Exceptional communication, presentation skills and demonstrated ability to effectively engage a variety of diverse people, both internally and externally
  • Superior written and oral communications
COMPENSATION:
  • Base salary range of $65,000-$75,000 (depending on experience), total compensation of up to $100,000 including bonus
