JOB DESCRIPTION:
Information Technology Manager would take ownership of the infrastructure oversight of all technical operations of a growing restaurant company.  The successful candidate will partner with the leadership team to deliver restaurant operations solutions, strategies, and support the technical stack through engagement with external partners and internal experts.

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
  • Oversee all IT related matters lead and drive the technological agenda
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments
  • Ensure alignment with support functions and business processes for operations solutions track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics and data
  • Identify new technological areas of digital marketing, operations, business development and financial opportunities and create plans to implement them for us and our franchisees
  • Spearhead IT projects to increase our speed to implementation without losing focus on quality
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety
  • Identify and recommend new technology solutions that we can implement while providing reasoning for recommendations
  • Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications
  • Install new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements
  • Maintain architecture referential (business process, application, data) regarding operations solutions
  • Implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Engineering degree in information technology preferred, minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or business discipline; other advanced degree or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of leadership in restaurant or retail operations systems functional design and support within IT, where experience was gained with large-scale technology implementations and / or large-scale change enabled by technology in restaurants
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Experienced in the implementation and support of end-to end restaurant operations technologies including POS, KDS, inventory management systems, or other restaurant operations technologies in a multi-unit brand
  • Proven track record in delivery of large, complex initiatives where technology is the driver / enabler in the restaurant industry
  • Understanding of and experience in defining and managing a portfolio of products and / or services that enable new capabilities for an organization
  • Strong skills documenting architectures and designs for complex systems. Along with a strong ability to translate business/functional/non-functional requirements into detailed architectures/designs
  • Experience and knowledge of software / technologies along with best practices of leveraging technology to drive competitive advantage in operations or guest experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence stakeholders, focused on business process improvements, technology strategy; prioritization and phasing of key initiatives
 
 COMPENSATION:
  • $60-80K base salary (depending on experience), plus bonus opportunity (up to 15% of base salary)
